General MacArthur's actions were justified.
MacArthur knew that engaging in this war meant that we would be engaged with the Chinese forces. “I have from the beginning believed that the Chinese Communists' support of the North Koreans was the dominant one. Their interests are at present parallel with those of the Soviet,’ demonstrating how he did what he did to China to help the South Koreans and to benefit their side.” MacArthur’s actions of pushing the North Korean troops back to the Chinese border and invading the 38th parallel line were justified due to the good result that became of it- we captured Seoul and helped South Korea get closer to their independence.

MacArthur clearly had both his men and the country's best interest in mind while making and thinking about every decision he ever made. “It was my constant effort to preserve them and end this savage conflict honorably and with the least loss of time and a minimum sacrifice of life” He never completed an action without thinking throughout what would happen as stated in his speech and famous quote: "No good decision was ever made behind a swivel chair." He always made sure his plans would result in the least amount of time and lives lost

Even though his idea of nuclear weapons may seem extreme to some, it was rather understandable and justified. “Later MacArthur urged the US to launch an aggressive attack against communist China, ensuring the protection of American interests and success in North Korea." MacArthur’s theory of using nuclear weapons against China can be justified by his intentions to protect the “American Dream and attitude” and to win the war for South Korea’s independence. He did not want to use nuclear weapons for no purpose or to overly hurt China- his idea was justifiable and intelligent.
